This week, LIGHTstern is working on some important innovations, which mainly affect the Polaris 1. These include the implementation of the Remote Work module, a small optimization of the heating for the colder months and a fundamental revision of the water system. These improvements are aimed at further increasing the comfort and functionality of the Polaris – both for travelers and remote workers.

The Remote Work module – working on the move

This week, the Polaris 1 will be equipped with the specially developed Remote Work module, which makes working on the move even more convenient. At the heart of this module is a 32-inch monitor that fits perfectly into the wall behind the desk. As a user, you can choose between two options for mobile internet: an LTE router or the new Starlink Mini. Both options are currently undergoing extensive testing to provide the best possible solution for stable and fast internet connections. If no clear winner emerges, we will simply offer both options.

In addition, the proven ProPower onboard system from Ford is used even better. This system makes it possible to access the electric camper’s traction battery directly to reliably supply your devices with power. A new feature is the integration of independent sockets for additional devices, which can be operated in parallel with other energy-intensive consumers such as the heater or hob. This makes working even more pleasant and efficient, even in the colder months.

More comfort in the cold season

The sustainable sheep’s wool insulation used in all LIGHTstern campers provides solid protection against the cold. Nevertheless, the problem that warm air from the heating rises to the ceiling while the floor remains cool remains at low temperatures.

To counteract this, we have added a new heating mat in the foot area of the table in the Polaris 1. This warms your feet in a targeted manner, allowing the general room temperature to be kept lower without sacrificing comfort.

This measure particularly improves the travel experience in fall and spring and helps you to get the most out of your camper even in more uncomfortable weather.

Water system upgrade

Another important update concerns the water system in the Polaris. While we previously used a flexible canister solution, this is now being replaced by a permanently installed tank system with a pressurized water pump. At 10 liters, the new tanks offer sufficient volume, and the fixed connection eliminates the risk of leaks caused by mishandled hoses. In future, fresh water can be filled in directly via a water hose or a collapsible canister.

Handling the gray water is also simplified: a gate valve enables controlled disposal via the left-hand sliding door on a disposal unit, making handling much more convenient and safer.

Bicycle carrier for the Polaris

In addition to the technical innovations, we are now also offering you a bike rack for the rear door of the LIGHTstern Polaris. This makes it easier for you to take bicycles with you when traveling, which significantly increases your flexibility on the road.

These new features make the Polaris even more versatile and comfortable – whether for spontaneous fall trips, longer journeys to southern climes or working on the road. The updates reflect our aspiration to combine sustainable travel and modern working at the highest level.
